Evade is a horror chase, survival game on Roblox full of jumpscares but also humor to soften the blow and make it an enjoyable experience. Team up with others to survive the Nextbots in several different maps and bonus rounds. Each time you survive, you can earn cash and level up to purchase helpful upgrades and items to help you escape. There are also other ways you can better survive each round: becoming faster, finding safer spots to hide, and getting your friends to safety. Here are some Tips and Tricks for you to use to become an Evade pro.
How to Super Jump
To pull off a Super Jump, you will need plenty of speed. You can increase your speed by purchasing Colas from the Equipment Item Shop on the main menu, and they only cost $60 each. You can also purchase Speed Pads to place down that also help increase your speed.
Once you have your speed boosted during a match, look out for ramps, railings, fences, cars, and other objects that can knock you up into the air:
1.Turn on shift-lock with Shift or through the menu with Esc
2.Run full speed at the object, boosting your speed with Colas or Speed Pad
3.Hit the object with the side of your character, using the A or D key to angle left or right
4.It may take a few tries to get it successfully, but if you hit any object at the right speed and angle, it will lift you up into the air. Once in the air, direct your character the way you want to land. This is much easier with shift-lock on.
You must be able to run fast to escape the approaching Nextbots. Since they are extremely fast, you will need ways to make yourself quicker as well to avoid them, such as using Colas. However, these are some ways to ramp up your speed without any extra items.
Strafing is a technique used to dodge incoming projectiles by moving left and right as you run, and, in this case, it makes you run faster. To Strafe in Evade, you will want to get to a full run and do the following actions:
1.Hold W or forward key to run straight continuously.
2.Alternate the A and D keys, or left and right arrows, to move side to side as you are running.
3.This simple action can help you reach more incredible speeds while running and possibly avoid the Nextbots behind you. You can also add a little hop to it as well.
Bhopping, or Bunny Hopping, is another technique used to increase your speed and create more distance between you and your foe. It uses Strafing and jumping to make it easier to escape the Nextbots. These are the steps you will want to take:
1.Hold the W key or forward key to run straight continuously.
2.Continuously press the Spacebar or jump key in a rhythmic pattern.
3.Alternate the A and D or left and right arrows to Strafe, simultaneously with the Spacebar and while in the air.
This will make your character keep hopping in a Strafe pattern and boost your speed. This works well even if the Nextbots are closing in behind you. Just be sure to circle around buildings or other objects while you do to create even more distance from the bots.
Sliding while bhopping while not holding the forward button is called slide hopping. It increases the speed of your bunny hop while being relatively easy.
To begin a slide hop, get a running start, jump, then release forward and begin holding your slide key, then bhop as normal while still holding the slide key. May require stricter timing to maintain speed, so rebinding jump to scroll wheel is recommended.
Flick hopping is a variation of bunny hopping that does not alternate strafe directions and allows the user to go faster than Angry Munci.
To flick hop, the user must continue to strafe even while shortly on the ground, and immediately flick to the preferred direction as soon as one jumps.
Despite not being very different from normal bhopping, flick hopping is exceptionally powerful on flat ground against special nextbots.
Trimping is used to gain speed both horizontally and vertically. Trimping is the action of going fast enough to surf off of a slope. In Evade, the speed necessary is not very high.
To trimp, one must go fast towards a slope that is between approximately 35-75 degrees and exit it early. To exit a slope early, air-strafing off of the slope is the best option, but sometimes a player doesn't have to do this because the slope is already short enough.
Depending on the height of the slope trimped off, one can go very high into the sky.
Examples of spots to trimp are the cars in Neighborhood and Station, the stairs of Jungle, the slope leading on top of the house in Desert Bus, all areas in Trimp, and more.

Wall hugging is done by hugging extremely close to a wall, facing away from the wall slightly, then holding both forward and the direction going into the wall. Wall hugging increases speed much beyond what's possible with normal bhopping.
For use cases, it is extremely useful and even life-saving on Maze, as trimping is not possible on Maze so it can be hard to get the speed possible on other maps, and wall hugging gives you speed extremely quickly.
The act of rotation manipulation is done by having vertical speed and hitting any sharp edge of a model, causing your playermodel to rotate and correct itself. Rotation manipulation gives a varying amount of speed of both horizontal and vertical form depending on where and how it's done, and can easily be done on things like fences.
Rotation Manipulation is very closely related to trimping, as it serves the same purpose and sometimes they are indistinguishable from each other, often merging into the same action.
Simple manipulation is most easily done off of things like fences like on Desert Bus or very short tables like on Mansion, Cliffshire, and Station. However powerful rotation manipulation can be achieved on geometry like the various bridges on Scorching Outpost while falling.
Rotation manipulation can be achieved off of any sharp edged object such as specific rock tops on Mayday, but this requires significant practice and a good handle on how rotation manipulation works. Correctly done rotation can provide an absurd amounts of vertical speed with the right props and angle.
Dashing is done by slide bhopping with an emote or while downed. Pressing anything that is not W A S D in the first .36 - 3 seconds of using the emote will stop the emote, so use of rotation manipulation to maintain speed at the start is recommended.
Staying in the air will increase speed, while staying on the floor will decrease speed, meaning that you must perfectly bunny hop to keep a decent speed.
To dash while downed, you must first get into the air using a trimp, edgebug, or bounce to get a maintainable speed for bhopping. You need precise air movement to maintain a significant speed, which requires a lot of practice.
Also note that some emotes do not have strafe lock. You can tell if the emote has strafe lock if it will not turn in air. Strafe lock emotes (bold march, broom, tank, ect.) will turn your body and move in that direction.
